October 2022, Tina was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast Cancer. She was only 38.
Tina spent most of 2023 going through Chemotherapy and Radiation treatment. While she was hospitalised, she had a lot of time to think. She decided that life is too short to not be investing in herself, and living to her full potential.
The idea of studying architecture came to her one day while she was fixing her niece’s dollhouse. A tattered, shabby old miniature house that no one wanted and she was determined to bring it back to life. Spurned by a growing hobby of studying buildings, light and biophilia, combined with her creative disposition, Tina enrolled in Curtin University open courses and is currently completing her first year in Bachelor of Architectural Science.
